Baby Boy's Fishing Hat
2:41 PM
After browsing lots of
images of adorable babies in tiny fishing hats, I decided to make one for my
new baby cousin. I used a tan colored
yarn for the hat portion and a white for the rope around the brim. I modified the pattern slightly in adding the
rope onto the hat. I created the rope by
making a row of chain stitches a little longer than the diameter of the
hat. Then I weaved in the chain stitch
around the hat so that it could be tightened or loosened as desired. For the fishing lures, I cut 2 inch pieces of
yarn in red, yellow, and green. I tied
these small pieces into one of the half double crochet stitches and then I
pulled apart the threads of the yarn. I
then cut the lures to the size that I desired.
